Nick and Eric are sitting in the control room at Focus Mastering in Omaha, Neb., watching Doug Van Sloun work his magic on our NEW RECORD! OH SHIT! Yep, it's so close to done we can taste it. Or maybe that's the Burger Detour. Either way, it's delicious. So here's the deal: We'll have mastered versions of our songs in our hands in a few hours. This means we could be putting new songs on our MySpace. Here's where you come in: Pre-order the new CD now, and if we get 25 pre-sales in the next seven days, we'll post a new song. GO! HERE!

Holy crap, we've had a good week. Fort Dodge at the Brickyard and Humboldt at Rustix were awesome last weekend, and last night at the Industry in Iowa City was life-altering. Hopefully we'll have pics up from Iowa City very soon (our first on this new website design, because Eric is super lazy). OK, more practice, another show, and then back to the studio...

Two more days in the studio, almost two straight days of vocals with some fun percussion and piano mixed in, and we're four songs closer to bringing you our second album! We've recently gotten in good with two very cool music/instrument stores in Iowa, Joyful Noise in Des Moines, which specializes in drums, percussion, and hooking Nick up, and 8th Note Music in Fort Dodge, owned by two of Eric's long-time friends and a store that boasts more cool equipment than you'd expect in that corner of the state. We just finished three days of recording at the Sound Farm in Jamaica, Iowa, and we could not possibly be happier with the way things are going. Thanks to producer Matt Sepanic, the songs are taking on lives of their own, and they sound phenomenal. Of course, Eric got a cold so he couldn't do vocals. But sometime very soon, there will be new songs for you all to hear...
